MLB.com reports closer Derrick Turnbow gave up six hits and five runs in one-third of an inning against the A's on Thursday. "The power arm guys in the spring generally take a little bit longer," Yost said, defending Turnbow. "We're right in the middle of spring training now where you start to suffer a little bit of dead arm. The last week or so before the season, you start to pick it up again.
