I am a subscriber of your newsletter and I am seriously considering moving to Los Angeles to break into the commercials/film industry (I am a writer/aspiring commercial actress). However, I am unique in that I am over 30 years old, but I look very, very young and I would like to work in commercials. No agent will not know old I am because they will not be able to tell, but I like being honest about my age. What is the situation like for someone over 30 to break into commercials? My agency has a casting for me this Thursday for one of the UK's tourist board. She has advised me of the fee minus the agency 20% commission, and there's a buyout of £1250. Could you explain to me what is a buyout?
