The following issue can be seen in VirusScan Enterprise 8.7i. When examining the update log for the AutoUpdate task, the following message will be displayed. ERROR: Updates were not applied because packages were not in the repository: VSCANCEU1000, EXTRADAT1000, BOCVSE__1000, VIRUSCAN The packages listed are optional packages that VirusScan looks for when updating. As these are optional, they may or may not exist in the repository at any give time. As long as the log notes that the update of the DAT version succeeded, the normal update process was successful. In Office 2007, by default Word, Excel, and PowerPoint save files in an new file-type (.docx, .xlsx, and .pptx respectively). These files cannot be opened in older versions of Microsoft Office without first installing a Compatibility Pack. If you frequently save Microsoft Office 2007 files in the older format, such as Word 2003-97 (.doc), you can change the settings so that Word (or Excel or PowerPoint) saves in that file format by default. Click the round Microsoft Office Button (at the top left). Click Word Options (or Excel Options, or PowerPoint Options) near the bottom right of the new window. To configure Microsoft Outlook 2007 to use IMAP to check you OSU email account: Launch Outlook from the Programs menu. Start -> Program files -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 or Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Open the email accounts wizard by selecting the Tools menu and then select Account Settings. From the Account Settings window select the E-mail tab and then click on New.... On the Choose Email Service window select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next. Check the box next to Manually configure server settings or additional server types on the Auto Account Setup and then click Next. Select Internet E-mail from the Choose E-mail Service window and click Next. The "Internet E-mail Settings (IMAP)" screen asks for the following information: Your name : Your name as you would like it to appear on email messages (ex. John Doe). Email address : Your OSU email address (ex. lastname.#@osu.edu). Account Type: Select IMAPfrom the drop down Menu. Incoming mail server(IMAP) : imap.service.ohio-state.edu Outgoing mail server(SMTP) : smtp.service.ohio-state.edu User name should already be filled in with your OSU Internet Username (ex. lastname.#). If not, please fill that field in with your correct username. If desired, fill in the password field with the password for your OSU Internet Username (the same password used for OSU Webmail) and check the Remember Password box. Select the More settings button on the lower right side of the window. A window named "Internet Email Settings" should appear. Select the Advanced tab. On this tab, under the "Server Port Numbers" heading, you will see "Incoming server(IMAP)". Directly below this is a drop-down menu labeled "Use the following type of encrypted connection. Change the drop-down menu option to SSL You may notice that the port number above changes from 143 to 993. This is to be expected.Choose OK to save this setting and close this window. Choose Next and Finish to complete the setup of this account. You will now see "imap.service.ohio-state.edu" on the left column of Outlook which contains the mailboxes for your new account.
